Gifu-ken
Gifu situated in the middle of Japan (about 250 km west of Tokyo, about 140 km east of Osaka, and about 30km north of Nagoya. Gifu, also the land of many Japan civil wars, has varied landform: from sea level 3000m high mountain area of the northern part (HIDA) to sea level 0 meter beautiful riverside area of the southern part (MINO).
  • Takayama Hot Spring – ranked highly with Arima and Kusatsu as one of Japan three top hot springs, it is also known as the “Beauty-enhancing hot bath”. This area comes with a 1000 years history of hot spring pleasures.

TAKAYAMA ~ GASSHO VILLAGE ~ TOYAMA
  • Takayama, an old castle town and was named little Kyoto since early times. A visit to the morning market of Old Street Town will bring back one’s childhood experience.
  • The San Machi-Suji, once flourished by unique merchant houses with lattice windows along the merchant street, canals running under the leaves, sake breweries with white earthen walls and long established stores still retain the atmosphere of the Edo houses.
  • Sample Food Wax Factory – Experience how to make a sample food wax product, such as Desserts and Tempura.
  • The World Heritage Dec 1995 ~ Shirakawa Gassho Village Listed in UNESCO World Heritage sites, is well known for clusters of steep thatched roof houses. The architectural style is called Gassho, it looks like two palms folded together in prayer, an action referred to as “gassho” in Japanese. There are 59 houses and 53 attached building, and there is one house built in mid-1800 and later relocated here to escape being submerged behind a dam.

Karuizawa
In 1886, Alexander Croft Shaw, a Canadian missionary, stopped in Karuizawa during his travels preaching Christianity. The place reminded him of his what was to become the very first summer residence of the area. Later, the place came to be known to a great may missionaries, foreigners, and prominent figures. Summer residences began to appear one after another in Karuizawa, and they earned a reputation far and wide as a place for rest and relaxation with an international flavor. Before long, many hotels and sports facilities such as golf courses and tennis courts were built, and Karuizawa became a top resort area in Japan

  • Odaiba Seaside Park, overlooking the Rainbow Bridge and imagine you can have a photo with Statue of Liberty.
